I hold a Physics degree from the University of Salamanca and an M.Phil. from Loughborough University. I worked as a research assistant with Ray Meddis at the Speech and Hearing Laboratory (Loughborough University, UK); as Multimedia Engineer for the company Sistemas de Imagen y Palabra, as a Project Engineer for the company GMV. S.A.; and as the Subdirector of the Medical Education Unit at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Castilla-La Mancha.

I have been working as a research assistant in the group since 2004. I develop computer models of the peripheral auditory system and I have a special interest in nonlinear frequency selectivity. I am also in charge of developing AudioLab, our Matlab platform to run psychoacoustics experiments.
